A friend from Brasil filled a few miniatures for me with some Rio for me to taste.  It's very fruity, but very similar to the Miami.

Just a guess but possibly becasue of the flavoured vodka being harder to fake?

I thought it was to prevent re-filling of the bottles?

i was convinced it was to prevent leaks and with the hole being smaller easier to dose the vodka coming out...  Rolling Eyes

I believe prevent re-filling is the main purpose.  Just check where got the sec-cap, the answer is so obviously.

Yes, a security cap is designed for that, but the question posted was how come the Rio bottle doesn't have it... unlike the other Brazilian editions?

Same question here in Poland where Polakom doesn't have the Sec. Cap, but the other Blue bottles have it (excepte 1,75L), and even the Absolut 100 has it...

Because is very hard to fake a flavoured vodka, other brazilian editions are just common vodka. this is my opinion  Mr. Green
